-=Hawke's been feeling quiet lately, but he's been busy hunting and collecting food, as well as processing it. It's non stop work, and the exhaustion is apparent on his face. There are people who have arrived and women who needed to be cared fore. He works hard for these people, even if they don't realize it or appreciate it.=-

I have food for the snows, and furs. If there is one in need, I will help. And my home is... large. -=Meaning it's lonely.=-

If others have made kills and wish to-- -=he pauses, wincing slightly as a pain shoots through his jaw.=- learn how to prepare the meat, I will help there. Please let me know.

-=He looks like he wants to say something else, but decides not to and lets the feed end.=-

[Perfect! Lily grabs some supplies she can use for medicinal purposes before walking quickly to his home. Knocking on the door, she waits as patiently as she can. But she is rather excited about helping someone. Other than herself, she hasn't had a true patient in ages.]

Hawke? It's Lily.

...Hm.

[That was an interesting take on the name. She herself had never figured out why they were called wisdom teeth. She just accepted it.]

No, we just call them wisdom teeth for some reason.

[That's why it's the first stop! But she's much more worried about Hawke than about the hide.]

-=He never locks his door. It's unheard of in his home world. At the moment he is at a basin, carefully washing the knife he uses to process meat and hides. Some blood is on his arms and shoulders, but it doesn't look like he's going to wash that.=-

This is very important. This is what will keep someone alive through the winter. My pain will not.

-=It's a few minutes before he's finished, taking his time and being patient with his work.=-

You do not live in a place where people make things like this?

-=His jaw works a moment as if he's trying to feel for them with his tongue.=-

I did not know there would be more teeth. It is normal for them to hurt?

It is normal, I'm afraid, though it hurts for some people more than others.

Oh! Everyone's thinking so far ahead.... I guess I need to get with the program, don't I?

[She smiles lightly, trying to hide her growing embarrassment. Hot guy is being so responsible, and she doesn't know what she's doing at all. But she watches him earnestly, both keeping an eye on his work and making sure he isn't in too much pain.]

No, I don't. But I'm sure I could learn! Not until after we check on those teeth of yours though.

[Lily is used to being polite. She only opens the door when she hears him give her permission. Peeking inside, she pulls her wand out just to be safe. Once she finds Hawke, her eyes widen in surprise.]

Are you - [But she doesn't see any lacerations on his body. That blood must be from...

And then she spots the meat. Ew.]

It's nice to meet you as well. [She lowers her bag and approaches him. Reaching out, she touches his cheek experimentally.]

Does it hurt when I do that?

Keeping busy I see.

-=Nods and finishes up, washing only the knife in the small bucket of water instead of his bloodied arms.=-

Last snows... it snowed for a full turn of the moon. It was difficult to keep warm and find food then. I do not want others to be in need when it is cold.

Learning would be good! More hands mean work is fast.

-=he looks over to her with a smile, pausing long enough to touch his fingers to his chest.=- I am called Hawke.

-=He noticed her shocked look and paused, waiting for her to calm or speak. When she avoided the questions about the blood, he nodded politely.=-

No. -=He felt no pain really when his face was touched. It actually felt nice-the dull ache alevated by the pressure and he leaned slightly into it.=-

Yes. -=glances up with a nod.=- The snows will be here soon.

Mm! You told me when I first arrived. [She hasn't forgotten a word of what he said. She'll just flex one arm, gripping her bicep with her other hand for emphasis.] I'm Makoto, and I'm always willing to lend a hand or two!

-=He smiles more broadly. Yes, he's pleased that she's paying attention.=-

Your strength will be welcomed, Makoto. -=Once he was ready, he stood before her, his arms still bloody.=- You wished to go to the clinic?

[Lily gently smooths her fingers down his jawline, searching for tender areas.]

Does that spot hurt when you touch it with your tongue?

[She carefully brings her wand out.]

-=There's a nice strong jawline there. But he pulls back slightly when he notices the wand=-

What is the stick for?

-=His tone indicates that he really thinks it's just a stick. His wary nature sends the smears of blood sliding up his arms to his face in some sort of defense.=-

Preparing meat, hides and gathering wood and plants.

Water is generally an issue, should it freeze over... but storage is always difficult.
