bloodseal_soul Friend/loved/Faunlyn	Al is one of the few people in Hawke's life that he feels closest to in terms of Faunlyn. Al accepts Hawke for who he is and seems to understand how important physical connection is. This is the biggest thing in Hawke's life, and one of the few things that has helped Hawke stay here and not go crazy. Of course, some good flirtatious teasing is always fun around Al, too. He really enjoys getting a rise out of people (in a good way!) And Hawke uses these times more as a teaching tool to help Al be more comfortable in his own skin than expect something from him that is more intimate.
buntails Friend/loved/student	Ah, Usagi, an innocent child who has yet to see the full range of the world. Hawke understands this, so he doesn't press any of his viewpoints on her. He's twenty, but feels he's already spent a life time more than she has. He does keep to his own beliefs strong and doesn't hide them from her. But he is gentle and will change the subject if she becomes too distressed. Hawke feels bad that she's learned such limiting factors (especially in the realm of love) and hopes that one day she will realize that she can make her own changes to her philosophy--if she wants-- and become an even better person. Other than that, she's sweet and he's proud to be her friend.
