Kind of. It's more like they thought I already knew you because one of my teammates' name is "Starfire"... But apart from your name, I haven't been told anything about you. [A shrug.] I guess I'll just have to learn it from you directly.

So... where are you from?

Ah. I have not known another aside from my family the name Starfyr. It is from a world called Arril, but I was born on Earth. I live on Arril, now, in Earth Mountain.

Actually, Starfire is her codename, not her real name. And she wasn't born on Earth but on a distant planet called Tamaran.

Ah. And were other people from your world brought here as well?

No. I am the only one. There have been two who have 'visited,' but the Animus was kind enough to not keep them here.

[A weak smile. She never wants to put too much hope in the future. Hope leads to disappointment and disappointment to pain and anger. And that's usually when she loses control of herself and her powers.] At least it can't make it worse. So it's worth trying.

I do not believe we can make this place worse. It is sick. Other people have seen to that. Even though the spirits are angry and frustrated, we should try.

[She nods.] Why should we even care if what we do makes them angry and frustrated? We didn't ask to be brought here in the first place. So whatever happens to them, they'll only have themselves to blame.

Mm. Yes. -=but he doesn't completely agree. With a culture that is steeped in spirits and ancestors, he's a little more sympathetic to the Animus' frustrations. Just not how they act out on it.=-
