-=Guess who pops up on the PCDs in the pre-dawn light! He's dirty with what looks like reddish-brown mud, still mostly naked, and looks positively exhausted. There are fresh, thin, red lines down the insides of his forearms, but they look more like red marker lines than what they really were. Hawke's lockjaw has become a beast of burden and is hauling not only Hawke's gear, but some animals that have been hunted.=-

-=Hawke speaks something in his own language, not caring that the musical lilt won't be understood by people here. And then a moment later he gives a loose translation.=-

I am home. I have brought meat, but I do not have the strength to finish preparing it. And I would need a bath, first.

[That is not a language he knows, dude.

But he points to himself and tries to remind Hawke of what is going on.]

Renji. You needed help.

-=He's in a daze for a moment, then looks down as if realizing that he's being touched.=-

Raven.

I did not know when you arrived. -=Yep. He definitely needs bath, food, and bed.=-

[instantly, images of a jongleur came to mind]

Oh, that's nice. Stories are fun.

Yes. -=he smears his face with a hand=-

I am sorry. Sleep called me. -=Looks like he still needs more.=-

Come. The meat is here. -=Partially dressed outside in the shade of the house.=- I have knives that can cut swiftly. -=Like the one that cut into his forearms while he was out in the wastes.=-

I'm here.

[She gently leads him to the spring.] Come. The sonner you're clean, the sooner you can get some rest.

They are the stories that children grow up to learn about Faunlyn. -=Entertaining and important!=-

I'd like to hear some, some day. If you wouldn't mind telling them. I could tell you some of the stories from my world in return.

[She steps back as Tybalt begins his work, looking over the creature instead. She never has gotten a proper look at him before, and while she will admit he is intimidating, she does not believe he could harm them.]

I am certain it is friendly. Hawke would not keep it were it unfriendly.

[She's still smart enough to keep a healthy distance from it's jaws, though, just in case. At Tybalt's next words, she looks to him, eyes wide. Going home is the last thing she wants to do.]

Unaccompanied? When it is still early enough that the rabbits and hellcats might not have hidden away for the day?

[She turns her attention, hearing Hawke speak in the strange tongue he uses with the animal.]

He seems to have taken a liking to Tybalt.

[He gives a derisive snort at Juliet's last comment and turns he attention to dressing the carcasses.]

Fine. Then find somewhere in sight and make yourself comfortable. This won't take long.

-=Hawke nods and then goes to follow her where the actual cleaning pool is.=-

Thank you, for coming.

-=He was aware enough to bring some heavy duty cleanser, a fresh cloth, and then a soft drying cloth. It's all in a small bag he carries.=-

I would like to tell some stories, sometime.

-=He will look forward to it, as well.=-

I must go clean, now.

See you soon. [waves and ends feed so Hawke can go bathe]

Hmmm.... -=He gives the lockjaw a scritch behind that crest plate and it growls again, closing his eyes in bliss.=-

Mayhaps. He can be very protective.

-=The animal looks like a long muzzled lizard with a large, compact body and a long tail that slides about lazily.=-

No need to thank me. I'm glad I can do this for you. [Hawke helped her many times and she cares for him.]

Here give me this [She helds out her hand to take the bag.] and get into the pool.

-=There's a small smirk from him as he turned to the pool, removing the cloth without warning as he moves to sit into the warm waters, groaning softly.=-

Ahhh... I have missed this.

[She would take offense at his tone, but she doesn't wish to be ordered home, so she nods, choosing to go and stand nearer Hawke. He did not, after all, say in whose sight she had to stay. And she smiles, seeing him with his creature.]

Does it have a name, Hawke, your protective friend?

[Raven kinda expected it, so she averts her eyes until he's sitting in the water. Meanwhile she unclasps her cloak and takes off her fingerless gloves. Then she pulls the cleanser out of the bag.] You could wash your front and I'd take care of your back and hair. Would that do?

[Tybalt rolls his eyes, but sets to work, pointedly ignoring both Hawke and the lizard. It's been a while since he's had to dress a kill - hunting outside Verona was a rare treat, and even on those occasions there had been servants to do the bulk of the messy work. But pride and a general idea is enough to let him do it decent enough.]

-=Oh. Hair washing. A way to this man's heart is through his hair.=-

Yes. -=He can't say no to a hair washing and smiles a bit.=-

-=Hawke is no expert with dressing. At least he doesn't think so. After all, his filets are not as uniform as Sohl's are. But he has practice under his belt.=-

His name is [Darkling]. -=He pronounces the lockjaw's name distinctly.=- It means 'dark scales' in human speak. -=And in turn the animal shifts to go and sniff Juliet thoroughly.=-

[She tries her best to repeat the name, and greets it when it turns its attention to her. If she thinks of it like a horse, or a large dog, it is not as frightening.]

Is he a sort of dragon? Or a - [What was the animal about which the archangel Michael had told her? Oh, yes!] a dinosaur?

It is a fitting name. I hope that I may think of a name equally fitting when my kitten is weaned and able to leave Kirara.

[Her smile falters, thinking of Kirara's mistress. That the woman she considered her sister was unhappy with her actions bothered her still.]

[He was right about it not taking long, but it is messy, and he feels totally gross by the time it is done. And it's only made worse by how chummy his dear cousin seems to be with that man. ]

You'll need to do something to preserve the meat or you're have maggots and flies in days. Come on Juliet, I need a bath.

-=He catches the smile but doesn't have a moment to ask.=-

You do not wish any of it?

-=He'll ignore the curt manner Tybalt's handling things.=-

[She bites back a sigh. She knows that tone all too well. But she will not let him dictate the terms of their leaving.]

That is a most kind offer, Hawke. Is it not, dear cos?

[She glances at the other man before moving to her cousin's side. She lifts her hand to take his arm, then notices exactly how messy he's gotten and lowers it to her side.]

It seems you both need baths this morning, gentlemen. You will be all right on your way to the hot springs, Hawke?

We have limited storage for such things. But I will take some.

[He picks up a decently sized haunch]

Thank you. [grudgingly]
