It's good to meet you in person. This network, it's a wonderful thing, but it can't quite replace really looking someone else in the eye.

That, my friend, is strawberry cheese, made from the milk of a pink cow. Which is quite insane, when you think about it, and yet as real as you or me.

[Ryuubi is laughing freely, he finds the whole thing amazing and hilarious.]

I wish we had such cows on my parents' farm. Saves the trouble of making both cheeses and jams!

Him. -=smiles fondly.=- He carries scales the color of the sun and hair the color of bright fires. He is taller than I, but most everyone in the mountain is.

-=goes on to describe Sohl's gentleness, but also his fierce protectiveness if there's danger about. He was teaching Sohl English before Hawke disappeared, and Sohl was preparing to be away on a hunting trip.=-

[Ryuubi listens with fascination and sympathy, drinking in the tale of what must be a great love. His eyes are just a touch misted over when Hawke is done, not without homesickness of his own.]

Even if he isn't here - you're blessed, you probably know. Even memories are a sort of fire in a cold night.

I am from Earth. At least I was born there. My mother and sister and her father live there. I live in the Mountain now, on a world called Atlean.

It is a beautiful, but wild world. The trees grow tall and the animals are free. The spirits are kind if you are kind.

A lot of our colonies are like that - huge worlds with small populations, more wild than tame. Still, I wouldn't trade Earth... not Earth...

But we never found races other than our own. You're lucky in that sense.
