[A few moments later, Unohana shows up with a small basket. In it are two clay cups and a small, steaming teapot. She sits down and pours the tea, and hands one goblet to him without a word.]

-=Tea. His eyes go glassy and he takes the goblet with both hands, waiting for her to pour her own before taking in the aroma and sipping quietly.=-

[She doesn't speak, just sips her own tea. Sometimes, silence is more soothing than words.]

-=And he doesn't desire conversation, either. But he takes another sip and gives a shaky sigh. After a moment's hesitation, he slid over to her side to pull some comfort from her=-

[She puts her goblet down, and puts an arm around Hawke's shoulders.]

-=continues holding his up, leaning up against her when he feels her arm. A moment later he buries his face into her shoulder to hide, shaking slightly.=-

[She turns around slightly to gather him in her arms, rocking slowly and threading her fingers through his hair and massaging his scalp gently.]

-=He relaxes, curling more up against her and making one small sound.=-

[She holds him closer and starts humming softly under her breath. The tune is that of a traditional japanese lullaby.]

-=He still misses his family, but is soothed by the lullaby. He's missed this too, and it shows in the way he has his arms around her, more like a child seeking comfort than an adult.=-

[She kisses his forehead gently.]
