And I do not wish to be here.

-=More of that angry look and then he sighed, the feed blacking out momentarily as he closed his eyes. He opens them again, this time looking a little defeated with the spark of ire in his eyes.=-

I am called Hawke. I have never been in a world like this, before. I...I do not know where to begin to find my way home.

If I knew, I'd be back home by now. This is pretty close to what my home is like, just with a lot less blatant sex shops.

Sex shops, for all your experimentation needs. They usually sell accessories and sometimes gadgets to make sex a bit more exciting.

Which brings me to the reason why you're here. If you listened to what they tell you before setting you free... [ Let's face it, how many do that? ] ...you'd know that sex is what they want from you. That's why it's in your face and rubbing up against you when you're not looking.

So to answer your question, they're meant to be "free" as you put it. It's the nature of the city.

There's only so many ways you can do that before it gets tiring. "Variety is the spice of life."

They gave you a map and it should point towards the building. If you look around then you'll find signs which correspond to the map and you'll find it in no time.

[ Sadly, he moves away from the mirror but now everything shifts to what he sees. His messy coffee table, pizza boxes piled on the kitchen counter and on the dining table. He grabs his satchel and heads out the door, practically skipping flights of stairs. ]

I was...adopted? They have writing, but the way they do is different in the way the words are arranged. Writing is more decoration than needed to find one's way around.

[ Except every single day is an "all nighter" for Donnie. In lieu of having his electronics, he buries himself in books. And sex. It's good to have a balance. ]

If you're adopted then these Faunlyn must look different from you. That explains at least one thing.

[ Namely that Hawke didn't freak out at Donnie's appearance. He'd only thought of it after he'd initiated a video conversation. At least his gamble had paid off. Now all Hawke would be able to see would be rooftops being run on, the world sometimes getting turned upside-down briefly as he flipped over them. ]

Unfortunately, you'll have to get used to writing and reading being a necessity here. The spoken word can only get you so far. English sounds a lot easier to learn since it's organized and makes some sense. You'll need a tutor for that.

-=Hawke hadn't been paying attention and he startled when Don just appeared before him. He should have known that the turtle was there. He should have felt his heart--

He kept that sudden realization to himself. Feeling awkward, he handed the map over with the housing information.=-

I will not consider it home.

-=A place to sleep, if that. He watches Donnie quietly, eyes drifting over to the turtle's veins and frowning all the more to himself when he realizes that the people at the Center were telling the truth.=-
