Once every twenty turns, there's a ceremony at the Mountain. Everyone participates, singing, dancing, bringing up a magical energy that infuses the Mountain with a protective magic. Afterwards, those who have scales shine with their own power for... days. Sometimes weeks.

That time is coming soon. I might miss it, because I'm here. I do not consider this home. I want... I want to put some form of protection up where I live, but... I do not think the clinic is appropriate. There are too many people who come and go. Too many who might not understand.

I feel like I should be moving on. But... where should I go?

I believe it is. I am told there is much feasting and dancing and song. There is a game where a heavy ball is moved by players to sound a drum at one end of the playing field, too!

I was thinking of that, but I do not feel right performing a home ceremony in the clinic.

That is my problem. I feel like I should be moving. But I do not want to do so, either.

I'd say that you rather should do what you want this time. But it's up to you in the end.

My home is the mountain. In side is a big place, and the rooms are with grass and plants and...

There is a feeling of peace and belonging there.

Well, I am quite sure that most of us here who are unfamiliar with magic in our ownw orld have been exposed to enough of it here to not be too alarmed.

And as I said before ... you have many friends who would stand between you and anyone who would dare attack you for who and what you are.

I had also learned from an early age that such magics should not be shown to others. That is another part of my... problem.

If your ritual requires that no stranger should watch it, then finding your own place might be best.

However, if it was a simple matter of safety, I am quite sure many people would love to help you, or wouldn't object.
