-=Doesn't even do a double take as he strips Zelos out of his clothes and washes the blood away with a warm, wet cloth. It's as if he's very used to doing things like this and takes extra care in drying him. Occassionally he looks up to Zelos with a worried look.=-

-=He has little in the way of normal human clothing, but when Rosalie took him to go 'shopping,' he still has some left overs. Decent slacks and a sweater, would that do?=-

[Zelos is silent through out the cleaning though he does his part to help Hawke in the stripping and cleaning of himself. He keep his eyes closed most of the time though, running through the battle in his mind over and over again. What he remembers makes him more angry and guilty. At Hawke;s quiet question Zelos finally opens his eye. The blue is dull and blank. He shakes his head slowly.]

-=He was kneeling before Zelos when he asked, and now he straightens up and reaches for Zelos' face. He wants so badly to keep his friend from hurting, and knows that it's not possible. So he just shifts forward and kisses him. It's not meant to be anything more than something between friends, offering comfort and trying to soothe.=-


If there was a way to take your pain away, I would do so.

[Zelos accepts the comfort Hawke was giving. He did not feel like anything else. AT Hawke words, tear finally prickled into life in his eyes.He reaches around Hawke's neck and buries his head under Hawke's chin. His tears a silent but powerful enough to make him shake. He answers voice low, and full of emotion.]

I know. I'm sorry.

[Zelos clung to Hawke and let his emotions loose. At least here he was safe.

He cries, the same small choking sobs that a child would have as if trying not to be too loud.]

I....I'm so sorry....

[His words are choked, but not necessarily directed at Hawke or in apology for his crying.]

[Zelos continues to cry and murmur, his words inaudible even to Hawke, who is so close.


Finally he manages to cry himself to a restless sleep. Even in sleep however his expression is pained and he clings to Hawke, like a child.]

-=Once Zelos' drifted into an uneasy sleep, he kisses Zelos' forehead and pulls a blanket up over them. After a few more minutes of shifting so they're both comfortable, and falls asleep.=-

[Zelos had been sleeping restlessly, moving away from Hawke to lay on his back. Suddenly his breathing hitched and he shot upright, a strangle cry on his lips.

His eyes are open but unfocused and his breathing fast and fearful.]

[With another shuddering breathe Zelos eyes finally focus. He coughs a moments and then leans forward, Hand wrapping around his torso as a shudder racks his body.]

[Zelos' breathing is Ragged and he flinches from the touch before looking at Hawke, Eyes wide, and wild. The trembling remains of deep seated fear are there before he blinks and recognizes Hawke completely.]

[Zelos sighs and again and lifts his head. His eyes are still red, but a lot of the pain is gone from his expression. He smiles slightly at Hawke.]
